Job Description
We are looking for experienced software project manager to join our team. Major responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Prioritize tasks in liaison with the stakeholders and ensure the tasks are defined within the backlogs. Monitors the deliveries in line with the scope and time.
- Oversee schedules and risk management plans and provide serious deviations warnings hindering project results. Escalate/disseminate to the stakeholders, in case of risk of delays.
- Convene demos of completed deliverables/sprints to both internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct Sprint Retrospective Meetings and identify action points as well as lessons learnt along with the team.
- Ensures the backups are available to take up in case of non-availability.
- Convene Analysis and Estimation meetings among the team leads. Create Sprints, based on the estimates in JIRA
- Ensure issues are properly logged by the team in the repository with information including but not limited to response times and status.
- Takes appropriate actions to fix anomalies within the team in case of deviations
- Work in collaboration with the team leads and CTO to generate trends and root cause analysis when required.
- Define and standardize Agile Process as per JIRA practices within organization
- Maintains organization wide vocabularies and disseminate to the JIRA users
- Provide JIRA trainings within the organization.
- Recommend and implement modifications to improve effectiveness and attain project milestones.
- Set team goals, guide the team to perform their best via performance review system
- Provides support to Human resources department and executive management in hiring and onboarding activities
Requirements
- 5+ years of software project management
- Solid understanding of agile, experience in projects using Agile delivery is mandatory
- Must be an excellent people manager with the ability to lead cross functional teams with respect.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices.
- Strong knowledge about Agile techniques like: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing etc.
- Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.
- Good skills to coach team how to follow agile scrum, which really works.
- Good knowledge of software development processes and procedures.
