Quality Assurance Engineer (SQA)

Role Overview:

We are developing a world-class cloud-based healthcare product that enables our US-based customers to digitalize various workflows across their healthcare systems. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work as part of the software development team and will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our web applications through comprehensive manual testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in manual testing along with practical knowledge of automation using **Playwright** and/or **Cypress**, enabling the team to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced Agile environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in requirement grooming, sprint planning, design walkthroughs, and implementation sessions to ensure quality from the early stages of development.
  • Design, review, and execute manual test cases for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and/or Cypress.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing across web applications.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects while working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Validate APIs, database changes, and system integrations where required.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and developers to clarify requirements and ensure complete test coverage.
  • Ensure the quality and stability of each release by executing regression suites and validating production-ready builds.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, test strategies, and automation frameworks.
  • Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics while supporting Agile/Scrum development practices.

Experience & Education:

  • 2-3 years of related work experience, preferably in the IT Healthcare industry.
  • Experience with Cypress/Playwright automation is a plus, Prior experience working on EHR/EMR (Electronic Health Records/Electronic Medical Records) applications is highly desirable, Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) is a MUST.
